Who does ECOFYT work for?

The ECOFYT Self-build Constructed Wetlands
We have put together three self-build standard packages, especially for the adventurous construction project Oosterwold (but it is of course also applicable elsewhere), at prices for which we have negotiated very hard with our suppliers: We distinguish: the 3P package, for 2 -3 people or the 5P package, 4-5 people and there is even an 8P package, which is based on two households that want to build one filter together: 6-8 people in 2 houses.
New in our range is the Tiny Wetland, here below we explain more about it. Each package consists of all necessary materials for the so-called 'Vertical Flow Constructed Wetlands'.
The prices we mention below include VAT and the transport to your parcel.

3P

The 3P package consists of all necessary materials for the so-called "vertical flow-through Constructed Wetland", for a household of 2 to 3 people.

The price is € 5,200.00 and this includes VAT and the transport to your plot.

In addition to the materials, the package includes a comprehensive construction manual.

It not only describes how to make it, it also tells you how (and why) a helophyte filter works.

There is also an extensive parts list, arranged per supplier (so that you can quickly check per supplier whether everything is correct). And a parts list per facet of the construction phase (so that you know exactly which part belongs where).

Naturally, the package also includes detailed construction drawings for your system.

Finally, there is also a manual for the use of a helophyte filter, including tips on what to use and what not. (The latter list is very limited, a helophyte filter is also entirely suitable for very ordinary people :-), we do not expect strange things from you!)

Finally, you will also find in the manual all information about the annual maintenance of the entire treatment system. You can do that yourself, but you can also outsource it to us, after which you will also receive a clear report on the state of all aspects, tips, etc.

And many of the questions you may have will be answered below - and otherwise under the heading "Frequently asked questions about the DIY kits, on the page called" How ".

2 m. From rietveld to the ditch, for discharging the cleaned water

Not included are:

Ground cable between housing and control box.

Straw bales for the filter (1 piece, the application of this is recommended, it is not mandatory).

Excavator: you must arrange this yourself.

The required labor. You must supply this yourself.

Think of construction time in workable days, such as about 3 days, assuming two skilled people and the excavator.

We can offer construction supervision by one of our professionals. This can be ordered per day (of course only by appointment). The rate for this, including travel costs and VAT, is € 695 per day.

Optional:

If your situation leads to different distances, the necessary piping can be supplied at an additional cost, per 5 m length. In that case, consider ordering additional sleeves and bends

Likewise, wells can be supplied that are subject to traffic loads.

The sedimentation pit can be replaced by a separate septic tank and grease trap.

Even if you want to reuse the purified water for toilet flushing or irrigation, for example, we have the right solution for you.

This is an extensive package with a lot of information, errors in the text are not excluded and prices of the materials and services change regularly. Deviations are therefore possible and the above text is therefore indicative, but not binding.

PS: These kits are only available in the Netherlands.

Tiny Wetland

The Tiny wetland is our latest development, inspired by and developed for Tiny House owners.

The Mobile Constructed Wetland is an artificial swamp in a waterproof container, which is used to purify urine (compost toilet), waste water from the kitchen, shower and washing machine.

With a properly functioning helophyte filter, it is in principle permitted to discharge purified waste water into the surface water or soil.

This Vertical Flow Constructed Wetland is a system in which the waste water is fed vertically through a filter package via supply and discharge pipes. The filter can be used above ground, partially buried or completely in the ground.

The particulars of the filter:

The mobile Constructed Wetland is a project of TinyStee, specialist in Tiny Houses and ECOFYT. Together we have developed a mobile water treatment on a small scale, the Tiny Wetland. This unique helophyte filter has many advantages:

  • Easily movable, for example to a different residential location
  • Natural flow, without pump (no electricity required)
  • No maintenance costs, no sludge disposal costs
  • Largely made from recycled material and long life
  • Equipped with grease separator to prevent silting
  • Water distribution system
  • Inspection pit
  • Water level control

The Duo version has been developed to purify the grey water of a 1 person household, the Trio version is for the gray water of a two person household.

Tiny houses often have a compost toilet, which is why we did not include the toilet water in these designs.

The duo version costs € 1,495.00 including VAT and is delivered free of charge. For the trio version this is € 1,725.00

(Prices for sending in the Netherlands only)

You still have to buy sand yourself (we will tell you exactly what you need), after which you can assemble the filter yourself, with all the supplied materials.

Products list

And what do we have to offer? What we have in the first place is our knowledge. In this way you arrive towards a Constructed Wetland that is precisely tailored to your situation. This can be done on a full “turn key” basis or by DIY, with all intermediate variations. You could get to work yourself (based on the design we made), but outsource certain parts that are too difficult for you. We can deliver all necessary materials to you, but we can also do the necessary for you in the preliminary phase. So you see, the possibilities are (almost) unlimited.
Our total product list is as follows:
  1. Advice in the field of (natural) waste water treatment
  2. Reporting on the existing situation
  3. Substantive reports for permits
  4. Calculations with regard to the required materials
  5. Advising and supplying the materials to be used
  6. Making material and timesheets
  7. Design drawings
  8. (Supporting) construction management
  9. support during implementation
  10. Execution
  11. Maintenance and aftercare
  12. Maintenance and aftercare reports
  13. Water analysis
  14. Screening analysis
