For which companies does ECOFYT work?

Sher Ethiopia
The world's largest rose grower commissioned not less than 66 Constructed Wetlands, waste water from 550 ha (!) of greenhouses. With this project they went from untreated discharge to 'Zero Liquid Discharge', which means that waste water no longer exists at this company: all the dirty water is purified and then reused in the company, that's how we designed it!
Watertoren Bussum
(Sustainability award winning office building, with reuse of the treated wastewater). There is almost always something special to mention about a project, here we can tell you that the filter is placed on top of the technical building at the side of the office. And imagine: such a wetland system weighs more than two thousand kilos per square meter!
van Helvoirt Groenprojecten
They were the client for the Constructed WetRoof (purifying waste water on the roof and then reusing it) and we had previously built a Constructed Wetland for (and with) them for their own composting facility. That wastewater-purifying roof is very special indeed; it had never been done before! One requirement was: 100 kg per m²… We did a lot of research for it, together with a PhD student from UNESCO-IHE in Delft and her tutor, as well as with the research agency of v. Helvoirt: SHFT.
Sweco (together with Waste).
In Uganda, we carried out a feasibility study for a Constructed Wetland of more than 60 hectares (!) This involved run-off rainwater, mixed with waste water. In the photo you can see us on an expedition during an exciting trip through the floating Nakivubo swamp, on the outskirts of the slums of Kampala, the capital of Uganda, where the project took place.
DeltaWonen housing corporation.
The GEWOONboot is an autarkic house on the water. A fantastic and educational project, again: purifying and reusing waste water, but now on a very small scale.
A  project again in collaboration with various other parties where a lot of inventiveness and knowledge were combined into a special result. The GEWOONboot is now located in the NDSM shipyard in Amsterdam and can be rented as an exclusive meeting location. Very worthwhile!

Products list

And what do we have to offer? What we have in the first place is our knowledge. In this way you arrive towards a Constructed Wetland that is precisely tailored to your situation. This can be done on a full “turn key” basis or by DIY, with all intermediate variations. You could get to work yourself (based on the design we made), but outsource certain parts that are too difficult for you. We can deliver all necessary materials to you, but we can also do the necessary for you in the preliminary phase. So you see, the possibilities are (almost) unlimited.
Our total product list is as follows:
  • Advice in the field of (natural) waste water treatment
  • Reporting on the existing situation
  • Substantive reports for permits
  • Calculations with regard to the required materials
